In DECA, students are given a chance at a shot at three competitions; The District, State, and National levels.

DISTRICT CAREER DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (DCDC)
-Students compete against students in their district.
-UHS is a part of District 6. There are 8 overall districts.
-ALL students can and are required to attend DCDC at UHS.
-DECA members will present their roleplays in front of 1 or 2 judges. They will be judged on the following which is included, but not limited to the following:
-Presentation
-Professionalism
-Creativity
-Attire
-Once judged for their event category, they will recieve their scores at the end of the conference, where they will also find out if they will proceed to the State Level.

STATE CAREER DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (SCDC)
-Students compete against students in their State (Michigan)
-The SCDC is held in either Dearborn, MI or Grand Rapids.
-Students who pass the District level will only be allowed to attend this conference.
-DECA members will present to their judges in the same manner as Districs.

INTERNATIONAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE (ICDC)
-Students compete against students across the globe.
-ICDC is held in different states every year. This year, it will be
held in Orlando, Florida.
-ICDC has been held in other states such as:
-Lousiville, KY
-Salt Lake City, UT
-Anaheim, CA
-Orlando, FL
*These are the four states DECA uses. each year varies.*
-DECA members will present to their judges in the same manner as SCDC and DCDC.
