"I want to be a State Officer because it will broaden my speaking skills, professionalism, and ability to network and communicate with large clients in the corporate world. It will benefit me when I start my plans to own my own hotel, and when I can teach family, friends, coworkers, peers, and all others in my life how to deal with situations in a professional manner. Being an officer will open up traveling opportunities, where I will be able to develop skills across the globe. After all DECA has done for me, including helping make my decision on my career path, I want to be able to give back. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t joined DECA."
